Explore Amelia
Island by water. . .
Amelia Island is surrounded
by the Atlantic Ocean and many tidal creeks, marshes, and the intracoastal waterway, all which
offer fantastic views and occasion to explore local nature.
Besides enjoying
a boat ride, frequently you will see marine life
such as dolphins and Manatees. There's also opportunity for an occasional sighting of an
alligator sunning itself along the marshland banks. We highly
recommend taking a boat ride
around Cumberland Island, GA (located just across from Amelia
Island). Cumberland
is known for its wild horses, which you will often see from the water
(pictured left).
